# LIGHT THE WORLD

I haven't read everyone else's blogs, but if more than 50% of them are not about the Light the World campaign I'll be SHOCKED.

What better example of media influence can there be than #LighttheWorld? Where everyone's focusing on sharing good things about others, serving each other, and spreading the message of Jesus Christ. I remember on my mission we saw a #LighttheWorld advertisement on a bus stop in the middle of Lima Peru and when I mentioned seeing it to my Dad, the Chief Marketing Officer of the PCC, he remarked, "It's nice to see marketing put to some real good."

I have to agree! On the day when everyone posted on Social Media about a Christ-like influence in their lives I felt SO uplifted as I scrolled through my feed. I've never felt that good while on social media before. And so: here're more Christ-like individuals who light my world

    I'm the worst at following along with the Light the World stuff, but I love seeing what people post! So thanks for lighting my world with this post :)

    Love all the pics! would love to know the stories behind some of them. I too really enjoyed the light the world day with christlike examples.

Dear blog,      While you served me well before as a helpful outlet for media musings, the time has now come for a shift in purpose. What I need now is the chance to use you as a plowed field for my thought showers-- where sprinkles of interest can turn embryo theses into fruitful article ideas. BINGED

Confession time: I binged. Prior to this weekend I'd only watched (I think) about 2 TV episodes and only a few movies (and those were with friends). This weekend however, I had a dangerous mix: a pinch of free time, a dash of mindless jobs around the house to do, and a heaping spoonful of scary assignments that I wanted to avoid. All these concocted in a way that overpowered my self-control and had me drinking in episode after episode of the West Wing. In my defense, the Vice President had just resigned, the president's daughter was captured, there was a serious terrorist threat, and Donna was asked if she loved Josh. It seemed my patriotic, and personal obligation to see each of these things through to the end. But even as I was watching the show I couldn't help but wonder, "What is it about TV Shows in a time of stress and inactivity that makes it hard to click the red x  in the corner of my browser instead of 'Next Episode'?" 1) I think TV is ...

Challenge Update

I've been bad at staying off the phone this week while I'm outside. Its been hard because there's been so much to do, and I just had to get it done. But I realize that I feel like I've gotten no down time, my mid feels like it's still working and like I don't even remember the last few minutes if I'm on my phone in transit. And I'm missing Fall! It's terrible!  It's not worth it. If I can avoid it I want to redouble my efforts to stay off the phone when outside so I don't miss this:
